From enquiry to offload

Access check first

Send the delivery postcode plus photos of the entrance, the approach road and the final spot. Note any height barriers, bollards or restricted delivery windows.

Vehicle requirements

A HIAB crane lorry needs room to draw up alongside the spot and swing the crane clear of cables and buildings. On tight city sites we will tell you exactly what space is needed.

Crane offload

The driver lifts the container off and sets it down in place, which often means it can go over a wall or fence where the lorry cannot reach the spot directly.

Sometimes, and sometimes not. Back lanes are usually the tightest deliveries we do. Send photos of the lane and the gateway and we will give you a straight answer before you commit.

Often yes. The HIAB crane can reach over an obstacle if the lorry can get close enough and there is nothing overhead in the way. We check the reach against your photos first.

20ft is the most popular size because it holds a serious amount of stock and still fits on most yards. If space is tight, an 8ft unit works as a secure tool or plant store. Sizes are subject to current stock.
