FAQ

Questions about buying a new container

Quick answers to the things people ask us most.

We deliver nationwide from our Darlington depot. Our quotes include both the container and the haulage, so you see the full delivered price before you commit.

If the container is in stock at our depot, we can usually deliver within a few working days. One-trip containers coming straight from the shipping line may take a little longer - we'll give you a realistic lead time when you call.

A lock box is a steel cover welded over the padlock shackle on the container doors. It makes it much harder for anyone to cut the lock off, giving you extra security.

New and one-trip containers are non-returnable unless there is a fault or the container does not match what was agreed. If you spot an issue, let us know within 48 hours of delivery and we'll sort it.

A brand new shipping container has never carried cargo. A one-trip container has made a single loaded voyage from the factory in Asia to the UK, so it may have a few small marks but is otherwise as good as new. One-trip units are the best value new container option and are what most of our customers buy.

Prices move with the shipping market, so we quote live rather than publish a fixed price list. A new 10ft container costs less than a 20ft, and a 40ft high cube is the cheapest per square foot. Every quote we give includes haulage to your postcode, with no hidden delivery charges added later.

We supply new one-trip containers in 6ft, 8ft, 10ft, 20ft and 40ft, in standard height and high cube. A 20ft container is our most popular size for storage on site, and 40ft high cube units suit anyone needing maximum volume in one drop.

A high cube container is one foot taller than a standard container, giving roughly 9ft 6in of external height instead of 8ft 6in. That extra headroom is useful for racking, workshops, gyms and container conversions. High cube is available on our 20ft and 40ft new containers.

Yes. Every new and one-trip container we sell is fully wind and watertight, with new rubber door seals, marine grade paint and a factory lock box or the option to have one fitted at our Darlington depot before delivery.

We can arrange personnel doors, windows, vents, electrics, insulation, shelving, side opening and tunnel containers, plus office and kiosk conversions. Tell us how you plan to use the container and we'll suggest the specification that works.
