A 6ft container gives roughly 300 cubic feet and an 8ft container roughly 460 cubic feet of usable storage. That is comfortably enough for garden tools, bikes, a small workshop's kit or the contents of a single room.
Prices move with the shipping market, so we quote live rather than publish a fixed price list. Every quote includes haulage to your postcode with no hidden delivery charge added later.
A firm, level surface such as concrete, tarmac, paving slabs or compacted hardcore. The container sits on its four corner castings, so the corners are what really need to be level.
For a container used as temporary storage on private land it is usually not needed, but rules vary by council and by how long it stays. It is always worth a quick call to your local planning office.
Yes. They are the same corten steel construction as the larger sizes, and every unit comes with a lock box that covers the padlock shackle so it cannot easily be cut off.
Often, yes. We deliver on HIAB crane lorries and small containers are light enough to lift over an obstacle where there is clear overhead access. Send us a photo of the site and we'll tell you straight away.
New containers are painted in marine grade paint designed for years at sea. Keeping the container off wet ground and touching up any scratches keeps it looking good for a long time.
Yes. We can arrange personnel doors, windows, extra vents, shelving, insulation and electrics at the depot before delivery. Tell us what you're storing and we'll suggest the specification.
If we have the size in stock at Darlington we can usually deliver within a few working days. Units coming straight from the shipping line take a little longer and we'll give you a realistic lead time when you call.
Please do. Our depot just off the A66 near Darlington is open Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm. Give us a ring first and we'll have the container you're interested in ready to look at.
