Roughly 1,170 cubic feet, which is about ten standard UK pallets on the floor or the contents of a three bedroom house. It is the size most businesses settle on for general storage.

A high cube is one foot taller, giving around 9ft 6in of external height instead of 8ft 6in. The extra headroom helps with racking, tall equipment, gyms and conversions.

Prices track the shipping market so we quote live rather than publish a list. Every quote we give includes haulage to your postcode, so the number you hear is the number you pay.

As a rule of thumb, a straight firm run of about 60ft with no low branches or cables overhead. If access is tight, send us a photo and we'll tell you honestly whether it will work.

Concrete, tarmac, paving slabs or well compacted hardcore. The container rests on its four corners, so those points need to be level and solid to keep the doors working properly.

Usually not for temporary storage on private land, but it depends on your council, the site and how long it stays. A quick call to local planning is the safest check.

Practically, yes. A one-trip container has made a single loaded voyage from the factory, so it may carry a small mark or two but is otherwise as new - and it is the best value new container option.

Corten steel construction with a lock box welded over the padlock shackle as standard. We can also fit additional locking bars, alarms or a personnel door with a secure lock.

Yes. Personnel doors, windows, vents, racking, insulation, lighting and power can all be arranged at the depot before your container is delivered.

If it is on our yard, usually within a few working days. Specific specifications coming from the shipping line take longer and we'll give you a realistic lead time upfront.

Yes, and we'd encourage it. Our depot near Darlington off the A66 is open Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm. Call ahead and we'll have one open for you to walk into.
